Tips on calming the affiliation application nerves

Hey guys,

I applied for affiliation mid December and this wait is literally making me fall to pieces. I have little to no finger nails left and I think the butterflies I had in my stomach have procreated and are now building a nice nesting city within my belly button!

To exsiting affiliates and those awaiting affiliation, what are you guys doing (or did do) to stop yourself from buying a ticket to CF headquarters and attempting to physically walk your application through the affiliation process?

Re: Tips on calming the affiliation application nerves

I'm right there with ya, man. Sent my app on Dec. 22 and have been checking my e-mail at a ridiculous rate. I told one of my partners that I wish they would send your approval via the postal service. I can only really check my mailbox once a day, but I have found I can check my e-mail a thousand times.

If that were the case I'd probably set up camp outside the Post Office!!

I am in exactly the same boat as you guys. My send/receive icon on outlook is my best friend at the moment. Mine was sent 29th of Dec so when I see the earlier ones start receiving their emails the nerves will get worse

What is there to be nervous about? Don't let the slim possibility of being turned down stop your planning. If this is your passion, you should be working towards opening your doors with or without the CF in your name.

Location, equipment sourcing, and a ton of other things need to be attended to.

Keep your head up & congratulations in advance!

I'm not nervous about the application so much as I am anxious to get the response. We already have everything lined up and ready to pull the trigger! Just waiting on that e-mail!

Re: Tips on calming the affiliation application nerves

I sent mine in on 12/20 and haven't heard back yet. I kinda figured with the holidays and all it would take until about the end of January. I already have an established business so I'm not in any big rush. My only worry is that someone else in my city beat me to it! But it is unlikely. I'll post back when I hear from HQ.

That's all be done as we are already an established gym.

I think the thing is I am so anxious to see classes with dozens of people in my gym hitting PRs in the various WODs and actually performing functional exercises with proper technique.

Call me weird, but there is something sexy about a dozen people all performing the Snatch with perfect technique
