Just wanted to find out how many Aussies are crossfitting and where everyone is.

Also just letting anyone in Sydney know that I'm now working and training out of a crossfit friendly gym in Bondi Junction.

We've got an olympic bar and bumpers (courtesy of Eva T and Phillipe Kahn's sailing squad), a couple of light Dynamax balls, other medicine balls including a 20lb ball, kettlebells, dip station, chin up bar, bench, heavy bags, dumbells, a gymnasts "mushroom" and rings are going up soon.

The gym has also got a big mat for gymnastics and martial arts practice.

The address is

Trilogy Academy
level 1 420 Oxford st mall
Bondi Junction

The gym is not open full time yet but we are working on it and if we get more people interested that will help.

If you want any more info you can call me on 0416 075 265 or email fitness@octogen.com.au

hey Don,
i've Been visiting this site for about 1 year and reading everything i can. i have not done many W.O.D because i was boxing and my trainer did not like crossfit type workouts.(i have had some nasty injuries)and i am not boxing anymore, and will be doing W.O.D from now on. I live in Cowra NSW About 4 hours from Sydney, i would defintely be interested in checking out trilogy academy and also getting some kb instruction from you, but it won't be for about 4 months as i am doing certificate 3 in fitness by correspondence and working full time so i am very busy at the moment

Steve

I'm in Melbourne, there's a guy in Qld, and another in WA, I think. We are a growing minority! Pity we're all so far away from each other though.

Yeah it might be a bit hard to get everyone together for a round of fight gone bad....

Anyway it looks like i'll be teaching kettlebell workshops in Melbourne next month and also Brisbane soon so I might have a chance to catch up for a workout.

I would be (one of two, actually) the guy up in Brisbane, QLD.

Sounds like a great place to workout, Donald. I was actually down in Sydney for the last couple of days with my wife for our 9th anniversary. I could, if I'd seen your message, have tried to come and visit. But if I'd even tried to mention going for a workout while away on a romantic getaway, I'd be a dead man...

Looking forward to seeing the kettlebells in action if/when you get up this way.

I'm also a Sydney crossfitter. Been doing WOD for 12 months and having a ball. The gym sounds good but with 5 kids and living in the Blue Mountains training there may not be an option, however keep up the good work.

Shameless plug - I'll be running a kettlebell workshop in Brisbane on the 16th of April and another in Melbourne in April (date TBC).

Also going to be in Canberra on the 2nd and 3rd of April doing workshops.
