First WOD
Bench Press 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 1-155 1-175 1-175 1-185 1-185 1-185 1-195 (fail) Have to be careful w/ bench press. Think I could have done more, but haven't lifted in a while. Should feel this tomorrow. Realized I have a waaaaaay to go. Some of these guys are jacked. Looking forward to next WOD. |

"Cindy" rest day on main site. did "cindy" from earlier in the week. looks easy, but wow.. tough. 10 rounds note - only could do 3.5 pullups on last 4 rounds. need to work on that |

WOD
"Diane" 21-15-9 225 deadlifts HSPU scaled / sub 135 deadlift - 15 PU off bench - 21 135 deadlift - 15 PU off bench - 15 145 deadlift - 5 PU off bench - 9 *first time doing deadlifts in a while. held back so I can walk tomorrow. *finished first cycle of three.. looking forward to a rest day. sore now, will be worse tomorrow. loved the workouts and challenges. |

Traveling for business. At the Embassy Suites at Logan. Couldn't do WOD (no pull-up bar at hotel gym). "Barbara" 5 rounds for time 20 pull-ups (subbed lat pull down 120 lbs) 30 push ups 40 sit ups 50 squats 24:23 really need to develop back muscles. struggling w/ pullup type exercises. i now know what is meant by "blurring the line" between weights and cardio.. wow. people at the hotel gym must have thought i was a nut. at least i wasn't wasting 30 minutes reading usa today while barely moving on a treadmill. |

For time: 5 pull ups (3 pull ups) 10 push ups (5 on last 5 rounds) 15 squats (as rxd) 24:40 Very tough. First time really pushing hard. Broke down on the push ups in the last few rounds. Squats were no problem all the way through. What a rush when you finish. Feel like you really accomplished something. |

My last post didn't make it, site crashed.. decided to start running w/ my chocolate lab as a warm-up. Maybe 2 out of 3 times a cycle. He needs crossfit too. WOD Front Squats 5-5-5-5-5 I had to do back squats, the front squats didn't feel right for me. I have to read more on how to do them correctly. 135 185 (too much, too fast) 195 (dumb, only did 4) 175 175 I'm so anxious to progress and get in better shape, but I have to be careful w/ the heavy lifts. Over the winter, I was doing squats w/ 220 lbs, so I just need to be patient and get my muscles used to it again. I've decided to use this log as sort of a journal. All I really have to say right now, is I'm so happy to have found this site. Feel like I finally have a methodology I can stick w/ and enjoy. |

Fight Gone Bad Hands are still shaking as I type this... Keep telling myself if I can get to a point where I can complete these as rx'd, I'll be in the best shape of my life. Not just in terms of shirt off at the beach, but real physical fitness. 3 Rounds Wall Ball (as rx'd) SDLHP (as rx'd) Box Jumps (sub squats) Push Press (as rx'd) Rows (sub wind sprint) I have no clue what my score was.. too busy concentrating on not collapsing. I'd like to keep track next time. Notes - 1. Need a better box for box jumps (maybe old cooler filled w/ sand and weight to stablize) 2. Need some sort of minute timer for basement gym. |

Could have used another day to rest my legs. Still feeling them from FGB. This wasn't too bad. Of course, I subbed for the kettleball. Pullups are the killer. I had to break down the sets in mini sets of 3. Keep pushing... Just do what they tell me as hard as I can.. Helen 400m run 21 x KB (subbed 25 lb plate) 12 x PU 14:39 |
