About a month after I started with the cross fit program I hurt my right shoulder (back) when I was lifting a bar above my head (almost no weight, I was still warming up). Something in my shoulder produced a singular crack like noise which I can now repeat every time I rotate my right arm backwards. I rested for about a week. Actually I feel no acute pain but it does feel a little weak and when massaged it hurts. Anyone had similar experience? I begun to do hammer grip pull ups instead of classic broad grip pull-ups, I read somewhere it puts less stress on your back and shoulders, is that so? Do hammer grip pull-ups give the same results as normal pull ups? Is it a valid substitution? Thanks

Daniel,
I just got done researching shoulder problems last night. First, I would recommend that you use the search function. Search on "shoulder" or "clavicle" or "AC Joint". You'll get alot of good hits. Second, here's a link to a website with a pretty good shoulder faq. Hope it helps. - Mark http://www.eorthopod.com/eorthopodV2/index.php/fuseaction/faq.main/ID/3a680c091a 62a9749e0730167371c81b/area/6 |
