Lower back strain recovery tips

Ok so I was just diagnosed with a severe lower back strain. I understand all the things that come along with it. I have read all kinds of scary stuff on my recovery time, when I should get back to doing WOD's and scaling. For example My 1rm back squat is 465lbs, ohs 255, cnj 225 etc. How should I go about scaling my numbers? how long should I not do anything? its already been 3 days and I feel like I'm losing my mind. Any advice is helpful. Thanks

Re: Lower back strain recovery tips

I have no experience with this but I have heard good things about Bill Starr's rehab protocol.

Something to look anyways.

I'd definitely get to physio for a treatment plan.

Re: Lower back strain recovery tips

We don't recommend "time off" while we're treating someone unless we are not seeing improvements during treatment.

FS, BS, KBS, DL, push ups, and more can be beneficial for back pain; depending on the cause.

My recommendation is to find a good chiro/PT and limit your time off, and reduce your future risk of injury too.
