Hi,
I know a lot of you don't post often(Lurkers),here or in the WOD section. But I wanted to get an indication of (positive or negative responses)people who have been on Crossfit WOD or Crossfit style training for 2 plus years? Thanks |

my guess is that any one with a negative result wouldn't still be crossfitting after 2+ years - but I could be wrong - it's happened before.

Thanks for the reply Lisa,
I do know several friends who while "not doing Crossfit" and in general don't subscribe to Crossfit tend to have slowly converted to Xfit style training on a very regular basis.I know very well they watch these pages on a daily basis. Re: Forum Recently I noticed that the majority of responses are from people who registared in the last year or less(not saying thats a a representation of how long they are crossfiters.)Less responses from Crossfit HQ regulars(who used to post)and some of the other regulars. That and I understand Internet forums are somewhat repetitive in Questions and discussions and older members don't aways respond.Plus not everyone jumps on the Internet daily. "but I could be wrong - it's happened before" LOL:lol:Being wrong is good,if your never wrong, how would you know when your right. |

I will be 2 CF years old in July.
Positive: Everything has gotten better for me physically. I don't even know where to begin on this one. Negative: My wife is ready to puke every time I mention CF, and many of my friends and neighbors think that I am nuts (or that I am making money off of it). |

It's been three years for me since I first read What is Fitness? No one has answered that question better since then, or come up with a better program to develop that concept, so I'm still here. I don't usually do the WOD but do follow the principles. For example, over the past three days I did heavy power cleans, front squats, and db walking lunges on the first day; a circuit with 100m swimming, bw squats, and pushups on the second; and a weighted strict pullup ladder, some L-sit work, and a distance swimming workout with the triathlon team on the third day.

I've been Crossfitting for about 4 years. While physically Crossfit is amazing, the greatest benefits are non physical. There are both personal benefits that occur and the benefit of this amazing community.
One of the benefits that I've been enjoying recently are the interesting links that are posted with some of the WODS |

I'm 1.5 years into Crossfit. Positives are nearly everything. Negatives are that my students think I am insane.
I am also like Russ in that I don't follow the WOD, but I follow the principles. I just need to start saving my pennies so I can make it to a certification seminar. |

Little over 2 years, but only been able to sustain the WOD as prescribed since Jan 05, before I scaled (and did as precribed really slowly for a while). Amazing progress, coming from basically nothing, and I can't see it slowing down for a long time yet. Aside from the physical benefits, my motivation and enthusiasm for fitness is unceasing. I'll be doing this stuff into my 90s.
