That's an awesome price for what looks like a power bar that has everything that people asked for, including a bare steel version

Re: The Rogue Ohio Power Bar is out

Wow, great looking bar!

It's refreshing to see some of the options that people have asked for come forth on a bar like that: bare steel option, choice of either LBS or Kilos, and a more aggressive knurl with center knurling. VERY solid price as well.

I'd be interested to hear more about how the knurl compares to other bars on the market and if there's plans for a chrome version.

Way to go, Rogue!

Re: The Rogue Ohio Power Bar is out

YES!!!

FINALLY!! Thanks Rogue/Bill

With the end caps and the name this looks like you guys are trying to compete with the Texas Power Bar, sweet looking bar! and great price!

I have to ask how can you guys make the price that much lower than your only other power bar (the westside bar) 500$ vs 300$ aka whats the difference in the bars.

What have you guys tested it for weight with? any 700lbs+ squats or DLs?

Now i'm going to get greedy and hope you guys make a squat bar and a DL bar!! lol

again great job!

Re: The Rogue Ohio Power Bar is out

Drew

We have been bringing all parts of the machining process in house.

Started with the Ohio Bar then Bella, OLY, Rogue Bar 2.0 and now the Power Bars.

We spec'd out a min strength steel of 190K and bought it in mass for all the bars other than the Power Bar.

The power bar steel is 205K tensile and different composition to make it more stiff, more for powerlifting not olympic weightlifting. Each one has a different recipe.

The West Side bar and others will get discontinued and brought back to life on these new chassis.

In short, we have no middle man in the process other than our steel suppliers.

This bar meets or exceeds any other bar specs on the market. We are launching the 45LB version then the 20KG version.

Thanks,

Bill

Bare steel FTW. This might be the best value on a quality bar out there. Thanks for all the hard work Bill & Rogue Fitness!

Re: The Rogue Ohio Power Bar is out

Looks good. I'd love to have a bare steel bar to keep my bearing bar out of the rack.
