60-day potato-only diet

Anybody see this?

Pretty interesting. I think there is about a .1% chance though that he is truly only eating potatoes. Who is making sure he is not slipping in a multivitamin or other foods throughout the day?

I would be pretty confident he is only eating potatoes. Stephan Guyenet blogged (WFS) about eating potatoes, and cited a paper (WFS) where 3 test subjects were fed nothing but potatoes and margarine for 309 days.

Hmm you're right. It's a conspiracy amongst potato farmers.

It's not a study or proving a health/nutrition point, he's basically doing marketing to raise awareness for the potato industry. So yeah, his diet is mostly potatoes, but does it matter if he's taking vitamins?

My thought is that's a lot of potatoes! Even fried in butter or massively piled with toppings, it would get old eventually.
