New guy from Washington

Hello all, I am 7 weeks in at Kirkland Crossfit! What an amazing group of people and an amazing program for fitness! I am a biggish guy at 6'4" and 202 lbs. and I can't believe the physical, mental and performance results I have seen thus far. Seems like there is a lot of really good info and encouragement on this forum, thanks in advance!

My buddy runs 5ks every other day and says he needs to start "weight lifting" soon. He's been saying it for months. He's skinnier and "looks" more fit than I do, but when it comes down to working out, I smoke him at everything (including running). CrossFit works.
