Re: CrossFit - Reekbok Apparel...

They did add a bunch of shirts in the $30 price range..more in line with most CF related Tees.

Maybe they actually watch the feedback they get on here?

Guys...watch the latest couple of videos on the gear. Sounds like Reebok is just producing the gear for CF, but it is CF selling it still off of their own webpage (that is linked in the background to Reebok) and CF is setting prices. Hmmm...

Is it just me or did they lower their prices already on some stuff?

Outrageous prices, and quite frankly, boring, uninspired clothing.

I can go into any sports store here and get better quality stuff, from different manufacturers for half the price. $60 for a plain blue t-shirt? Fail.

Welcome to my first post in the thread. Since that time though, it seems.....

Maybe that's what I'm noticing. In no way am I saying how much better the pricing is, it's not. I'm just saying to me it looked like (by adding these new $30 shirts) they lowered some prices. No doubt their AUR went down.

Reebok pays for the right to use CrossFit on their shirts. They paid $10 million; I pay $1000 per year for the same. They sponsor dozens of athletes, and usher the Games into the popular spotlight. This is....bad?
Maybe I like K-Swiss better? So I'm supposed to like anything that supports Crossfit? Right gotcha. I will turn into a Crossfit Automaton then.

Plus I fail to see how Kenny Powers is in any way related to the ridiculous prices on the Reebok/CF store.

Re: CrossFit - Reekbok Apparel...

Lisbeth - full of mirth... I like it Sean

Reebok store, total let down, and obviously old habits die real hard with this company. They seem to be doing it wrong in many ways in our opinions because we like it a certain way - but they feel that the old school corporate approach is the way to sell such garb. I tried to buy in - and just keep pushing back from most of the product and the way they put it out there. I do not like the way they take someone from the CF community and try to fit them into the Reebok mold of a model. I know and like all the cf models - but they made em look - well bad... This is going to be a bumpy ride it seems.

Old School store and loyal CF vendors - I like the simple older stuff from CF, LIfe As Rx, Forged and others out there who make cool and fun t-shirts. I don't hate on these guys and like the counter culture approach. I do not like all of it - but i like the people and the stuff they make. The market place will decide anyway.

Most cfers won't gravitate to this Reebok garb no matter who wears it - and most will not pay the price. Eh - live and learn i guess

I do like the Reebok lifting platforms. But that is about it.

Speed bumps in the road i guess...

You mean 12 minutes before I posted? The post I quoted of yours was from yesterday, according to my browser.
