WL shoe opinions.

WL Shoes

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about these? I think I talked my wife into getting me a pair. I would like to know if they are worth it or should I try to get a better pair?

100% worth it.

Which ones did you get? Adidas is pretty solid in terms of WL shoes.

Neither yet. Trying to make sure they are a good purchase. Only size 16 and under 100? I LOVE that. Most of any of my shoes are 100+.

Thinking about going with these.

Adistar II

Thanks.

Re: WL shoe opinions.

Pendlay's are real nice and I train in them a ton with Olympic Lifts and some Front Squats or Combos.

and NIKE ROMS....are IMO best I have ever worn. Solid, but don't waste them...they are sick! BUT EXPENSIVE...go in halfsies with wife...haha

Re: WL shoe opinions.

several members in my box have Adidas and they all seem to be very nice but sadly too narrow for me. I have a pretty big foot and the Adidas, along with most WL shoes, don't do the trick. I really love the Rogue Do-Wins. I have a 3 year old pair that are my old reliables and I just got a pair of 2011's for my birthday last week - great shoes for mammoth foot lifters .

Re: WL shoe opinions.

I have the Ironwork III and love them. They are narrow, typical Adidas, but they do still fit me. I bought mine from the same website for $119 I think. Also, I've had them for over a year, use them 3-4 times a week, and they still look relatively new, so I'd say they are pretty durable. And as superficial as this sounds, I wanted a shoe that looked like a normal shoe. All the Rouges and Do-wins and what not are ugly, to me, and I work out at regular gyms. The Adidas actual look good.

I called for Pendlays but, they don't carry a size 16 shoe. I talked to Glenn a few times on their UStream workouts and he stated there wasn't enough of a demand... I understand that.

I have a semi wide foot too. This might be bad then. I'm sure they won't accept a return since they are dis-continued. :| I'll call and ask. Rogue doesn't have a size 16 either. Sad. :|

haha I don't really care for the looks, I just want a quality shoe. Sound like a good deal either way.

Thanks all for your input. I'm going to call and see what they say about returns if they are to narrow. Wish me luck.

Michael

Re: WL shoe opinions.

Ive been lifting in vans for sometime. Just got a pair of rogue 2011 do-wins and I love them. So much more stable for all my lifts.

Ive got a wide foot so I was worried about width, but they are plenty wide for me.

Yeah and again. They don't have my size. :|

Anyone else have other WL shoes that might run wide, other brands and come in a size 16?

Re: WL shoe opinions.

When I was searching for WL shoes about 2 months ago I found some links through Google for some very large sized Nike WL shoes that were cheap. I'm not sure if the link is still there or not.
