Attorney Dee Miles said the meat mixture contained just 35 percent beef, with the remaining 65 percent containing water, wheat oats, soy lecithin, maltodrextrin, anti-dusting agent and modified corn starch.
Gross.

Om nom noms.

We don't have Taco Bell here. We do, however, have almost everything else.

I used to work at another mexican fast-food restaurant, and I know well the perils of taco meat. We also used almost a 2:1 ratio of filler to beef, the filler being TVP, or Textured Vegetable Protein. It was awesome...ly bad.

So how many other fast food restaurants do this with their meat? All of them?

Reason why I never get beef. Saw another article way in the past that said it is graded lower than dog food.

I believe some hamburger joints used sawdust has a filler at one point.

And taco bell is countersuing, saying that the lawyer got his "facts" wrong and decided to sue first and ask questions later.

Re: Turns out we were all right, Taco bell meat really isn't.

if you watch the movie Food INC it shows the company that makes the filler. it looks like a particle board square and doesn't need to be refridgerated. also, the beef used in fast food places is the leftover parts from cows all ground up and mixed together. pretty gross.
