Re: Crossfit Open 2016

The lack of bounce on those deadlifts would cause you many sadz. Though one could probably pull off something similar with a pair of rubber 45s (or gorilla 65s) and just add iron.

At the end of the day, who cares? Right, competitors/bubble athletes. If that's you, well, you chose to compete in and take super seriously a sport where a former Navy Seal is in charge lol. You should probably just hold yourself to the highest standards at all times, and expect it to suck a lot no matter what .

Re: Crossfit Open 2016

Yes HQ fixes the situation after the fact. But really people.. bad move on the part of the people trying to cheat or bending the rules so far that someone has to step in. If people who cheat make it to the next round they will be exposed is not good enough. They take a spot away from someone who does it right and doesn't make it. 15% penalty is a good one. Doing the short jump did not save a round… so its a penalty.

The garage gym.. will be fun. Maybe a Rogue ploy to drum up some more business.. Looks like the staff is doing some checking and building. Nothing special with the garage they are working on.. but then again they did not show the much of an angle. Maybe it has an owner who is deserving of the spot light like so many are in the community.

Will be fun… Gug vs Dan the man. Go USA!

Did you see something that announced the garage gym location?

Huh. If they're adding the rig, that garage gym looked pretty sparse to begin with. Maybe they cleared out a lot of their own gear. Maybe the Open crew wanted a clean slate to start with.

Anyway, should be fun to watch!

Re: Crossfit Open 2016

Found the original post on instagram using the #opengarage - it looks like he already had the rig there but they are sprucing it up with better support beams. Not a complete build out, but rather an upgrade. Still thinking a 13.4 redo. AMRAP 7, clean and jerk/ t2b ascending ladder.

Re: Crossfit Open 2016

who knows right? I have never guessed anything nearly resembling the workout. Guess the best chance is to say Repeat workout.. but they used c2b and kind of ohs with the lunges.

I am saying repeat of next weeks 16.3 is 15.3. RX smart gear. Age vs. teen.

Would be cool to do some of the 11' workouts.. was before my time.
