Unlike today, the proper proportion for a man's waist would have been more muscled. At that time, a man must show a tight and well-defined midsection, but the obliques and lower back must have also been well-exercised and solidly built. A waist that appeared too slim, made a man "appear weak"
Hey John does this make you feel better? |

I didn't look at the website, nor do I measure myself, but I'm gonna say I'm over. On everything.

It absolutely shocks my conscience that Anthony's waist is too big. That's not right in any sense of the word.
My wrist size 7.75+ ideal chest 50.375 actual 50 ideal waist 35.2 acutal 38+ (cough, cough) ideal hips 42.8 actual 42 ideal arms 18.1 actual 19.5 straight 18.5 ideal forearm 14.5 actual 15.5 straight 14.5 ideal thigh 26.7 actual 30+ ideal nect 18.6 actual 19+ ideal calf 17.1 actual 18.5 note, if I hold my arms out and don't flex them in any way, the measurements are pretty darn close to ideal. Still, my gut and legs are waaayyyyyyy out of proportion. Plus, I've always considered my calves scrawny, but in comparison to my upper legs - they are. Btw, I'm 5'10" about 255. Hence the reason you'll never see me in a speedo. I ain't pretty. I'm just strong and quick. I think. All the best, Arden |

You might be surprised Andy, I was. vs their ideal I came in at:
Chest, -5"!! Waist, ideal Hip, +1" bicep, -1" forearm, -1" thigh, ideal calf, ideal neck, -2"!! chest and neck big surprises. I can't imagine fitting a suit if I was any bigger than I am. 6', 240#, 8.25" wrist |
