finding a personal trainer

from the article "Before you even meet with a prospective personal fitness trainer, you need to have a good sense of just what you want to achieve, says Klinge. Do you want to lose 10 pounds or 50? What kind of exercise do you want to do? How many sessions per week can you reasonably fit in or afford?"

Are the only people that use personal trainers overweight and out of shape?

is a "coach" distinct from a personal trainer in that the coach works with people to achieve certain athletic goals?

I am a personal trainer and have dealt with athletes , weeekend warriors and untrained overweight people. It all depends on where you want your specialty to be in. Coaches is a terminology I think just associated with sports, but you can be a coach for someone's health.

Personally I like a quote from Alwyn Cosgrove: Research has shown that over 100 billion dollars will be spent on just weight loss products by the end of 2006. If you're a personal trainer or coach and aren't serving the weight loss market, you're a f***ing idiot!
