Lynne,
I can't send back that which I have not received.
Maybe we can just not ship it. For tabata intervals. Sorry I just responded to a quote with another quote.

My tabata KB swings worked very nicely, thanks.

note to self: stay solely on Community. save money for postage.

Ron what was your tabata DB snatch score? Curious to know because I've been fiddling with doing them. Also, are you doing 1 interval, rest, other arm, rest, first arm...etc...so four intervals per arm?

OK, since you asked.
My score was 7 per arm. The way I did it was to go 20 sec. right; rest 10; 20 sec. left; rest, repeat for 4 minutes. I might have been able to go 6 or 8 minutes, but 4 had me gasping pretty heavily.
I also used 50lbs as a baseline. Next time, after the elbow feels better, I'll go to 55lb so as to duplicate the 24kg KB weight.

So, Diddy, do you think if (when) Ron has to give up his shirt, you'll get it? Or are you just egging him on because you hate him?

im a little scared to answer, but...

i think its just a natural tendency to give him crap. its definitely not hatred or spite, and i know i wont get his shirt...its just i cant not give him crap for selling out. my additional work for the day: Tabata crap talking...20 seconds on, 10 seconds rest x8.

now thats an on-topic post.

All this off-talk in a TABATA thread and you're not throwing some HSPUs at them Lynne? Come on! :-)

I'll give those a try tomorrow Ron and see how many I get.

Gave tabata bridge pushups a try today...ow.

I really love using the Tabata protocol for movements not usually associated with high intensity. Movements like weighted squats, swings, snatches, and even TGU's done in the Tabata can really wipe you out and give you a sense of where you stand in fitness.

Diddy,
It's all good.
Brendan,
Post results. I'd like to know how I stack up. (poorly I'm guessing)
Lynne,
All's fair, I guess. Make the HSPU's Tabata.

Tabata HPSU score: 7

I will do the swings tomorrow w/ a 50lb DB Ron. My grip is shot today and HSPUs were enough. They are so fun I think I'm going to make a habbit of forgetting my E's :-)
