9 EDT, 6 PDT.

I'm hosting a party at my house for a few friends, just wondering if anyone else dabbles in watching the WEC on Versus? Their lightweights are fast and furious.

Good event IMO. Condit did what I thought he would as did Varner. Filho looked like he was lacking but still he finished. And I am glad Curran didn't lose due to bad judging.

I found a great fanasty mma site called mmaplayground.com, one thing I learned is don't bet on the underdogs no matter how good the odds.

Frank Mir's commentary and interviews are really painful. He needs to learn to enunciate, and he never bothers to say "hello" or "congratulations" to the fighters, he rushes right into questioning them and it sounds very rehearsed and like, "I better get this question out now before I forget!"

I'd have to agree that he seems a little off sometimes, but much less so that the guys who commentate on EliteXC for Showtime or the 'Colonel' on Bodogfight, who has NO IDEA what is going on in the ring unless they are standing and trading punches. He is actually very entertaining for just that reason--and that they call him Colonel. It just makes me think of KFC, not the military... :yahoo:

I was so bummed that Larson got stuck in that armbar. I just don't like Condit. Don't know why.
