I try to laugh maniacally when they say stuff like that...

That picture is so frick'n Hilarious!

If I had something like that near me I would take my sandbag to it and try to go up the 'down' side.

See how long it takes for people to get mad.

So Friday what did they say?
If I remember correctly you were going to do Front squats and HSPU's. That had to have some comment. "Dude don't hold the bar like that when you do squats, you're supposed to put it over your shoulders".

Jeff-
Thurs was the front squat/HSPU/400m run WOD we spoke about... got a lot of looks at my "supported" HSPU, and the sprinting out of the gym for the 400m got some glances as well. After that WO, I did some L-sits (max. hold/1 min rest b/w rounds) and a guy at the gym was asking some ?'s about them, I also showed him the knees-to-elbows. Maybe I'll see him today...

Fri.'s WOD (run/thruster combo) no comments!

Jon, did you use the Smith machine to support you for HSPU's?
I did that once and really ****ed off some guys wanting to do military presses.

Jon,
You won't see him today. You showed him L-sits and KTE on Thursday. Means he did them Friday so he could do them when you weren't watching. He probably thought L sits were some kind of Parlor trick since he couldn't keep his legs up longer than five seconds, so he worked on them for about a half hour and finshed his workout up with the KTE. He is probably unable to get out of bed and hasn't eaten in two days.

Got thrown out of my step-dad's 24 hour fitness once (tried to train while visiting). The "trainer" told me my squat form was way too dangerous (I was deadlifting!!!)
And that a. lifting in bare feet was dangerous (there's that word again!!) and b. I would have to leave if I didn't put on appropriate footwear.
I'm glad I wasn't trying to do Fran without a condom, or something similarly unsafe

barefoot is a pretty common rule, it's mainly so they don't have idiots dropping DBs on their feet and sueing. I know the guy who runs the gym here at school, and he's caught me like 100 times (pretty much whenever I'm DLing and his back is turned).
