Ok, so how many calories should I add to start? 200-300...more? THANKS!

Hmmm. It's always a guess-and-check thing since you can't know with certainty what you are metabolizing every day. I would say 200 more would be a good starting point without going overboard. See how it works and if you feel better, adjust from there.

Have to adjust your calorie intake with increased exercise!

Rather eat more than less to start... then figure out a comfortable zone depending on your NEPA and training.

Normally, I would suggest trying to add 500 calories to your diet every week, and see how it effects your body. It allows you to gradually adjust to the new diet and you get a better feel for when you're at a healthy balance.

I sent you an email. You need help understanding some of the nutritional changes you are attempting to get your body to go through.

If you want to keep things Paleo add in stuff like sweet potatoes for carbs. Or oats or rice, which aren't technically Paleo but don't contain gluten and are minimally processed.

Re: Anyone feel weaker as they get started

I did have some weakness in the first couple weeks. Maybe it was diet related. But I think it was just my body trying to figure out what was going on. Obviously, you probably do need to work on your food; but hopefully between that and a couple more weeks, you'll be just fine. I feel GREAT now. LOVE CrossFit. So thankful we joined!
