Things I love

We complain about a lot of stuff on here and sometimes it seems that we all get too caught up in the things that are bad in our life. Post up some things you love, like, don't mind, whatever.... I'll start it off

- sitting under the oak tree with Dad

- finally being old enough to understand that he knows what he's talking about

- rain on a tin roof

- sand between my toes

- driving with the window down

- Thanksgiving

- "wasted" time

- Christmas morning

- ice cold beer in a frosted mug

- cool breeze on a hot day

- memories of granny & grandaddy

- time to make memories with everyone left

- friends you can call in the middle of the night

- sloppy "sugar" from my niece

Re: Things I love

Cloudy, rainy Sundays

The changing color of leaves, and the "smell" of Autumn

A cold room, a wool blanket, and a room temperature stout

MSU basketball

Thanksgiving (seconded)

Summer camping on Lake Michigan

Re: Things I love

Camping in the spring

Smell of the grass after it rains.

Rain drops on roses.

Whiskers on Kittens,

Bright copper kettles

And Warm woolen mittens....

Re: Things I love

Morning cuddles with my son
Saints game with friends
Stormy cold Sundays with nothing to do
A night out with my husband
Heated political discussions with my brother (although I'm not sure how well he likes them!)

Re: Things I love

My wife
Falling asleep while watching sports.
A band that is grooving hard.
A drummer that doesn't rush
Making music that pleases people
The feeling about a half hour after vigorous exercise (such as a hard run)
A relaxed dinner with my wife
A long drive with Prairie Home Companion or Car Talk on the radio
Getting lost in a book
Earning a result that I work towards (e.g., studying hard & getting a decent grade on an exam, a musical piece, etc.)

**Now I have "My Favorite Things" stuck in my head

**whirling thru the room in a waltz**

Cream colored ponies and
crisp apple strudels
Door bells and sleigh bells and
schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings

Re: Things I love

When my daughter holds my hand (which is becoming more rare as she gets older)
The way my wife curls up against my back when I'm trying to go to sleep.
The smell of the fireplace.
The kind of exhaustion that comes from a long hard day of play.
Rainy days that are warm enough to have the windows open.
Beer.
Labrador Retriever puppies.
Setting a PR/accomplishing a goal.
