Inov8 F-Lite 230 compatible with Orthotics

Hey everybody,

New to the forums here, I recently tore my calf and my physio prescribed me orthotics because of my flat feet. I heard the 230s are very narrow and was wondering if anyone knew if they were able to insert orthotics into the shoe. Thanks!

Re: Inov8 F-Lite 230 compatible with Orthotics

William,

I forwarded your question to my friends at Inov-8. Here is the response!

"The 230's are decently narrow...but because they do not have a rand that wraps around the upper of the shoe and lower sole..... the shoe will allow for more expansion. I have put Superfeet in my 230's before...and they fit fine. It will depend on how thick or wide your othotics will be. Anything straight off of a retailer's shelf will fit....but something custom made may not. So it is a tough call without actually seeing the orthotic. I think you will be just fine as long as you do not wear a 2xE 3xE in width. Also, remember to take out the foot bed that comes with the shoes (removing the foot bed will provide you with more room)

Hope this info helps!
Gina"

Best,

Jon

Re: Inov8 F-Lite 230 compatible with Orthotics

Jon,

I appreciate the response, they are a semi-custom type of orthotic, but my feet as well as the orthodic are not wide. But that's great news that I can insert the orthodic. I just bought them online right now. I tried emailing inov8 about the orthodics before, but they haven't emailed back. But thanks for your help!

Re: Inov8 F-Lite 230 compatible with Orthotics

Will,

Happy to help! Bunch of good folks at Inov-8. I picked up a pair of the new F-lite 195s (the lightest shoe they make) at the Games, and they're AWESOME. They're not available on the open market yet, but should be soon.

I rock the 230s as well. Solid shoes all around. Check the Games footage. You'll see them on a lot of famous feet.

Best,

Jon

Re: Inov8 F-Lite 230 compatible with Orthotics

Hey Jon,

Going back to this topic, I ordered some F-Lite 230s from Shoemart after I saw your response on this thread. They've been on backorder since and every online retailer I've look at, they are all out of stock. I really need this sneaker as my current ones are pretty worn out. I've tried Zappos, Amazon, Zombie runner, basically all the online retailers the Inov-8 website provided, even called some local retailers, but none of them have it. Is there any other way to get them?

Not sure if you're still looking for some Inov-8s, but I just preordered some f-lite 195s from Shoe Mart and they said they should be shipped mid-month. They also have the 230s in almost all sizes available.
