Hey folks.

How would you do the negative portion of the JPU? I read that it was best to keep the sets short, sets of 6, but what about the negative? jumping to the top of the bar then lower slowly for say, 3 seconds? What about a brief hold at the top?

Yours,
Beev

I think that the ulimate goal is to get your unassisted pullup numbers up. So in that case I would mix it up, do some top holds and then some slow let downs. Maybe even some holds to slow let downs. No matter what you end up doing your regular numbers will go up eventually whic, again, is the ultimate goal.

Since jumping pull ups are more for metabolic conditioning rather then strength, do them as fast as you can with contolled full ROM.
