Roman Chair into GHR?

I've got a bodysolid roman chair at home but find it difficult to perform glute ham raises on as it doesn't have the semi-circular cushion.

Has anyone converted their roman chair into a ghr machine, and if so how?

Thanks
James

Re: Roman Chair into GHR?

Take a look at this plan for a GHD. http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=14064&page=1 You will have to modify it to make it work on your roman chair. You should remove the padding from the roman chair and figure out a way to attach the GHD to the roman chair (webbing?). Good luck!

Re: Roman Chair into GHR?

I have the powertec and modified it by adding a second ankle pad (the nice folks at powertec sent me one at no charge) and then welding on a small plate to the bottom ankle pad for my feet to push against. So my feet go between the two ankle pads and push against this plate, just like a standard ghd. the whole thing is very adjustable. works pretty well for me.

here's a link to the model I have - w/f/s/
