Because it tastes good.
Because it is full of useful calories & protein, fats
Because can be used so many different ways
Because Rich Froning is eating it

What more do you need?

Re: Peanut Butter

Almond butter is where it's at. Too bad it costs so dang much.

Re: Peanut Butter

You can make it on your own, very easy to do.

Almond butter or peanut butter? Hmm. Do you have a recipe?

Both, but doesn't make it less expensive. Almond butter for me at least is a splurge item rather than a staple. I do buy raw almonds to eat though. Still a little costly but it's easier to grab a small amount to eat than it is to eat almond butter cause it's so good I find myself eating way too much of it at a time...lol

To make it, you throw the nuts in a blender or food processor and turn it on until you have butter. Pretty easy. Takes a little time because you have to blend until the oils come out and that's what makes it "butter" rather than almond/peanut crumbs. I do believe they have to be roasted nuts. I buy raw but easy enough to roast them in the oven.
