Leigh's Log

I have been gone a long time from the CF board...

Started Crossfit in July of 2010 and have been loving it ever since.

I am currently a Member of Practice Crossfit in Ohio, unfortunately have been out for a few weeks due to surgery but should be back into things in 3 more weeks!
Member of Yoga Springs in Yellow Springs Ohio taking an Ashtanga Class everyweek.

Below are where I am today and am super pleased.
Weight 111.8 Height 5'2"
Measurements: Chest: 36 Waist: 25.5 Hips: 33
Eating strict paleo and follow Coach Josh Bunch's guidelines which I have seen drastic improvements!

About to make some drastic changes in my life, change in job, moving etc and hopefully will not slip from my physical goals while doing so!

Cannot Sleep!

Decided that I have a lot on my mind lately and I instead of Facebook or posting a long mental note on here I created my first live journal. It gets pretty deep into my personal life but for anyone interested here is the link...

I will leave the CF board to my workout logs, yoga and my food diary.

So here was today: Remember I have 3 more weeks of recovery from surgery so I am be very careful what I do!

MORNING WORKOUT: 25 SQUATS-25 SITUPS- 25 SQUATS- 25 SITUPS

BREAKFAST: COFFEE WITH HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM
LUNCH: ABOUT 5 ALMONDS, 1/4CUP MIXED PLANTAINS AND COCONUT
DINNER: BEEF TENDERLOIN, BROCCOLI AND MUSHROOM (a small plate full)
Drank water and coffee!

NIGHT WORKOUT: 30 SQUATS- 20 SIDE CRUNCHES AND SLOWLY GETTING BACK INTO ASHTANGA YOGA....WORKED ON MY POSES AND BREATHING. MY TUMMY FEELS GREAT! ATTACHED AN UPDATED PHOTO! CF, YOGA AND PALEO WORKS FOR ME!

MORNING WORK OUT: 25 SQUATS- 25 CRUNCHES-25 SQUATS-25 CRUNCHES
I am really hating that I have to wait 3 more weeks until I am back into Crossfit. However, very happy with my surgery...very worth it just getting antsy to workout.
Breakfast: Coffee with heavy whipping cream
Lunch: Celery sticks and 2 tbs almond butter
Dinner: Not sure yet because I just got home and I am exhausted!

13 hour work day of craziness!

I will update my live journal before bed...should be much shorter tonight!

What a day...another long day at work and I hardly sat down. I was all over the medical center!


Breakfast: Coffee with heavy whipping cream
Lunch: 3 celery sticks w/2 tbs almond butter
Dinner: Going to be bad...I am starving and I just got home it is 2147 and I am not wanting to cook...so order it is. one time out of a few weeks is not bad? Okay I'll will be mad at myself later!

Workout: numerous squats a day and stairs galore...my legs are feeling amazing!

Tomorrow should be nice! =)
Excited actually, going to get spoiled! YAY

Friday 20 January

Breakfast: Coffee with Heavy Whipping Cream
Lunch: Sushi...mmmmm yes my team took me to Sushi
Dinner: Nothing

Workout: Bunch of squats crunches and walking in heels. I let my team do a casual Friday since I had an appt in the a.m. and the luncheon so I walked the facility up and down in heels...all in all though it really gave my calves a work out.

Counting down the days to get back into strength conditioning. I have my Doctors appt next Friday to see what he says I can do and cannot do.

Saturday 21 January

Breakfast: Coffee and Heavy whipping cream
Lunch: nothing
Dinner: Birthday Celebration 4 mild wings, 4 parm-garlic, and a few beers

Workout: Ashtanga yoga in my home at my pace. It felt good but I did get a bit scared at one point because I felt uncomfortable with my surgery...not used to stretching in certain areas yet. It will take some time. Patience is not my best however I will be patient in the regard. It just might drive me slightly crazier.

Monday!

Busy day...start of construction. Got to work at 0645 and left at 2000.

Workout: 30 side crunches, 30 air squats X 3
Breakfast: Coffee with heavy whipping cream
Lunch: Turkey and quac
Dinner: Chicken

Most of the day I was on my feet and walked all over the place...still nothing compared to a good WOD or Ashtanga! MISSING IT!

Had my doctors appointment last week, to see what I can actually do now in regards to getting back into working out. He said to take it slow and careful but I am able to start again.

I decided Yoga first and went to my Tuesday Ashtanga class (Molly is in India so it was a different instructor)
I did all of the poses and back bends, stands, etc and it felt great! I admit I am a little tight and here and there I was a little nervous that I would hurt myself. But as always I felt wonderful after the class.

Going to run this weekend, teach a friend how to clean properly and see how I do with some weight workouts. Should be interesting!
