Newbie with back muscle injury
I was hoping I could get some input from you guys. I just started CF about 10 days ago and although my old workouts were not nearly this intense, they did involve moving heavy objects such as sandbags and tires. I've developed acute pain on the right side of my spine about midway up my back (at the lower half of the thoracic region?). I believe it's my spinal erector muscle. But more important than that is how I did it. Flexibility isn't my strong point. Could having the bar too far back on overhead lifts cause this? I know it happens, but get in the zone and just keep going. Is arching my back on movements such as Olympic lifts doing it? Any input would be appreciated. Back injuries really take the wind out of your sails!

Re: Newbie with back muscle injury
Thanks for the post. I've done the recommended massage and do feel it has improved. The pain is more general now and is about a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10.
