Starting For newcomers to the CrossFit methodology

How do you guys .time an exercise i.e if wod says squat for 20 seconds (how do you time this whilst counting reps)I don't think I could focus on a stopwatch whilst exercising.

there is a great stopwatch by seiko that does the countdown for work and rest periods seperated with audible tones. Its posted somewhere, ill see if i can locate it, i have one but its at the gym . cant recall the model. I also find that a dual digital cooking timer, with masking tape on the rear works well too. 1 set it for 20 seconds countdown when it goes off i hit it to start the "countup" rest. at 10 seconds I hit it again to start over.

the g-shock watch with a stopwatch and 10 second sweep window is pretty good too.

The Timex Rush VO2 works for me. Only $35. It has a dual countdown timer that can do the Tabata Interval.
