June 24th 2010....should I stay or should I go?

Ok as of last Wed I was a once a week crossfitter for the previous 4 Wednesdays.

Last week I went Wed and Fri.

This week I have been Mon & Wed.

I feel fine today as of 5:00 pm, a few nagging little injuries but those were there before I started crossfit.

Should I....

Go tonight and Friday night? Take Sat/Sun off and then hit it again Monday night?

My week next week is an odd one. I Can go Mon/Wed and Thurs. But Thursday is Canada Day, so I doubt he will be open. I won't be able to attend from July 2nd to the 6th though.

I'm trying to use up my 10 visit card and sign up on June 30th for a year to avoid a tax that comes in July 1st.

If I'm not in pain...no DOMS or anything, think I can pull off THurs/Fri ontip of Mon/Wed this week? I can only CF 2 maybe 3 times next week and then I have 5 days where I won't be doing much of anything.

Advice from the vets?

Background...Powerlifter since Feb 1st 2010, 12 years previous to that...couch and remote master

No pressure....It's 5:05pm eastern, class starts at 7:00pm

I didn't expect to feel this good today...

If I feel good and have the time, I always go. A workout in hand today is better than one that might happen tomorrow. The only exception is if there's an upcoming event or some other reason why I want to be sure I'm rested and not sore.

Listen to your body...it will tell you when to slow down. If you have the energy...crush it...if you need a day take one. No worries! Keep at it!

I went.

Made it through the warm up, the tabatta row and part 1 of the metcon, part 2 kicked my butt...chewed me up and spit me out.

21-15-9 95# Thrusters and Box Jump. My shoulder gave halfway through the 1st set and I dropped to 75#, 65# for the last set. I'm not gonna lie, I pulled up the rear on the last part.

Great workout though, I pushed hard.

Can't wait till tomorrow

"Every day you miss in the gym is a lost opportunity to get faster and stronger." Some days when I'm struggling to motivate myself or have some soreness I just have to remember how good it feels once I finish the workout. Keep at it, you'll never regret showing up to work hard.

Feeling passable this morning.

I'm going for it tonight. Going for 3 in a row and 4 out of 5 nights this week.

Only one way to find out if I can handle it...try

I'm guaranteed to come dead last in the WOD tonight...

Pretty much destroyed it tonight...

Shoulder was on fire the whole time, but I just tuned it out.

400m row
Bodyweight Deadlifts x12
21 box jumps

3 rounds...

Forget the girly name

Did well, only a few short water rests. I was on the ground making a heavy duty sweat angel for a few minutes and breathing loud and hard...but I got her done.

/end thread.

Thanks for the dupport bro's & ho's

Oh yeah, tomorrow I will be doing nothing more than pulling my 15 month old son up and down the street in his wagon.

Sunday I was thinking of Rowing an off pace 5000m and 2000m. Nothing fast, maybe 2-3 minutes off the pace.

Then Mon & Wed Crossfit next week. Thurs is Canada day and I can't make it Friday...so rest is in the plans

Thanks for the concern

Re: June 24th 2010....should I stay or should I go?

FYI, he has to charge you HST on the yearly membership regardless of whether you sign up before July 1st or not. You could avoid it if you purchased the services (for July 1 onward) by April 30, but anything that HST applies, which is prepurchased between May 1 and June 30, for July 1 onward has to have HST on it.

If he isn't charging it then you are fine though, he will not be having fun if he has a CRA visit though.
