I really like the programming at CF Strength. At the moment I'm doing my own thing with 5/3/1 and extra short WODs and/or events when I can. I train with Willie's group at War House in Overland on Saturdays a few times a month.

I've got my eyes on my first show in late July but at the moment I'd either DNF or have to hit a PR to finish about half the events But I'm doing it for fun more than anything so I'm not worried. My other goal is a sprint tri by the end of summer.

Sweet man. With strongman youre just going to have to jump in. you'll never feel like you're ready Plus the adrenaline helps tremendously.

Going well. My first real strength day was today and it was a blast. I think this will be fun...

Tues and wednesday had a ton of stress and stuff going on.

Thurs 5/26
Ran 1.5mi
Only stopped twice and once was for the dog to pee
Also have started running only in vibrams. Its going great except for using muscles I never knew I had lol

Friday 5/27
DecIded to do strength days complex style. Check it out:
Sandbag clean and squat 4x5 - 200+ sandbag (first set onleft shoulder, rt shoulder,across tje back and then bear hug style

Dimel deads w/ dbs - 2x20 - 100lb dbs

Manual hamstring curl (think ghr) 4x5

Straight leg raises 4x10

Wod 12 9 6
200lb sandbag dl
26" box jump

Well after not touching a weight for 30 days back feels great and I'm past several stressful things. So today I started back slowly...actualy yesterday.

Saturday 7/2 2 mile walk

Sunday 7/3

3 rounds 5r/5l/5oh 10lb sledge hits 5 ring dips

3 rounds 10 kb swings - 62lbs 5 lunges each leg w/ 50 bag 5 pullups

3 rounds Z press x 5 - 50 dbs Ball slams x 5 - 30lbs Situps x 10

Workouts will be conditioning and running based until I drop some body weight. But today was a good start! Looking forward to getting back to a strength phase...
