ACL Recovery Question
Hi everyone,
I would post this in the huge ACL thread, but that mostly seems to be the recently injured. I'm interested if others are having the same experience that I am. Im 7 mo. post op on hamstring ACL reconstruction and 1mo. post op on a meniscus "clean up" of the same knee. I still feel stiffness and pain in some movements. My question is, how long does it take for the knee to begin to feel "normal"? Should i expect another 6 mo. of the occasional wince and hobble? Tell me your experiences! Question number 2... When did you start going full bore on CrossFit again? thanks, Hibb |

Re: ACL Recovery Question
1. By 6-8 months from what I can remember you should be into athletic movement territory with your PT....
If it's still "shaky" when you walk/move on it then something may be wrong. 2. Ask your PT/Doc about when you're cleared for full physical activity. If you're doing explosive movements in PT I personally don't see why not, but obviously might wanna cut back the intensity a lot. Again, take it up with the PT... I wouldn't say CF (as that may require a long winded explanation) but describe what type of exercises you want to do. |
