Re: The CFSC Burpee Challenge Log

Nice work Charity!

Keep plugging away at them. Believe me when I say now is NOT the time to fall behind! If you're anything like me you'll be sick of burpees well before Nov. 11th! Good luck!

Awesome Charity!!!! You are in the home stretch... I know you're sick of them and you're exhausted, mentally and physically, but you are almost there. Keep posting, I know it helped me knowing that there were others out there supporting me!!!

Re: The CFSC Burpee Challenge Log

Thanks guys! It helps to know others have survived as well!
Yesterday was day 83 and I timed it. Got 'em done in 15:59. Was beating back Pukey the whole time. I've been Crossfitting for about a year and a half and I'm beginning to wonder if my endurance will ever catch up with the strength I've gotten.

It will Charity! That's not a bad time for 83. Whew...even thinking about that many burpees sends shivers up my spine...but I digress! Keep at it and you be surprised how much it pays off in the end!

Re: The CFSC Burpee Challenge Log

UGh. Halloween and burpees do not mix.
However, skipping Halloween (day 88), lack of trick or treaters causing me to ravage the candy bowl myself and making it up with day 89 does not compute either.

No more holidays until I'm done please!

Re: The CFSC Burpee Challenge Log

Today is Day 92. I've started taking a book with me when I do my burpees. I don't think I'm going to time them again until I'm done next Wednesday. My plan is to do them at my affiliate. For now, I do 10, read 2 pages, do 10, read 2 pages. I'm also looking forward to getting back to my regularly schedule Crossfit. But, my Crossfit Total has gone from 465 to 490. Burpees gotta be good for somethin!

Re: The CFSC Burpee Challenge Log

Day 93! I see it coming around the corner!
I can't wait for it to be over!

These last couple of days, my big toe has been hurting something fierce (like, did I break the thing hurting.) Upon inspection, I have a big scary callus on my big toe that had been preventing it from flexing at the joint comfortably. It is gone now and the pain with burpeeing has gone with it!

I've worked through shoulder pain, wrist pain, knee pain and toe pain. Burpees are hard on the bod and best used as part of a well rounded workout IMO.

Ditto to all of those ;-). I could not agree more... too much of burpees is NOT A GOOD THING for the body or the spirit!!!!!
