Thanks to the idea from Alix (snaps for Alix), a lot of us ladies want to use the crossfit skill levels as a goal. For those of you that missed the link in Alix's workout log here is is http://www.crossfitseattle.com/athletic_skill.html (wfs). That's awesome Ms. V! CrossFit Chicks will breeze through this and what a great way to drive and push each other. Sugarland Crossfitting Newbie Chicks will be using this as well...very soon.

Let's go ladies......3,2,1 GO!

<peeking in>
I looked at level I and some of the stuff (running) I think I can't make yet.
I like challenges... what's the game plan- do CF WODs and watch the skills increase, or....?

Thanks, what a great resource.
I don't think I will ever reach the running goals for level II, but that won't stop me from tryin'!

Camille - no peeking.. YOU'RE IN!!!! I think each person can set their personal goals to meet their respective levels. For example, I'm about 75% of Level II. I'm going to focus my goals on the items that I KNOW are going to be a challenge for me, which is mainly the running.

Maybe we can all start with going through the list to get a baseline?

When I get some time I'm planning on posting where I stand right now (I'll just list the ones I can do). Then as I achieve other items I will post them!

Thanks for starting the thread Ms. V!

Re: The Fit Chicks' Fitness Challenge Log

Yay for Fit Chicks!

I'm working on Level II. The aim is to get everything there and then move onto Level III (a long-term project!)

Ok, have been through the list and there are 9 things I can tick off straight away. Another 7 that I think I should be able to do (but actually need to do them) and the rest need work - pull ups, dips, muscle up etc.

This morning tried for DL and Military press. Managed to improve my DL PR by 5kg (now 100kg/220lb) but need to hit 105kg for 1.5 X BW. Should get that in the next few weeks.

Military press - so much harder without using the dip of your legs as in push press! Aiming for 35kg (1/2 X BW) made it to 30kg. So some work needed there.

Power snatch - done at 1/2 BW yay!!

Will work on the runs over the weekend and I got to get me that kip. Can now do 6 strict dead hang pull ups (yay new PR) but that's a long way from 20.

I look forward to hearing about everyone else's progress on this!
