My mates and I often go and do some outdoor training, fresh air, catch some rays, there is nothing better!

We normally train at a local athletics track and up to a few days ago it had some bleachers which had a few good supporting bars, which we used to do chinups/pullups ect.

They have been knocked down in favor of some new ones which do not have access to the bars.

We are normally very resourceful and use everything for equipment however we have been very very hard pressed to find a decent bar.

Does anyone have any suggestions, any plans for a home made stand or one which is on the market?

I have toyed with the idea of using rings but again, we lack places to hang them at the moment and we are not to keen on leaving our 400m athletics track.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Cheers

Jake

Jake,
I've een thinking o an outdoor pull-up bar since I saw the pix of them at one of the certs this year.... That was around six months ago... check out Jon's site http://www.againfasterequipment.blogspot.com/

I bought my pull-up bar and absolutely LOVE it!!! It can be used for he obvious pull-ups but if you add chains to it, you can now use it to practice various lifts under constantly varried loads and instabilities.

Well worth the money invested. Once I learn how to post pix, I'll add them to the board...
