Post Equipment Decision...Rower vs GHD

Hey everyone. I'm looking at getting more equipment for my home box. I have currently, s-2 stand, rogue bar, axle bar, bumpers, kettlebells, abmats, jump ropes, games box, and other accessories.

What is everyone's opinion on my next purchase...GHD, rower, airdyne etc?

Whose programming do you follow? What are your goals?

I do all my own programming. I do model a lot after coach burgener and mobility wod. My goals are to increase pulling power and speed for olympic lifts.

I'd say the GHD would be the ticket then. Midline strength is a great asset in O-lifts. Your core is the link between the shoulders and the legs & when that bars overhead in a snatch at the bottom, the more core strength, the better.

Either would be beneficial though. The rower would be great for conditioning stuff, and definitely helping pulling strength. Recovery rows are a phenomenal tool as well.

lol... then why are you asking us what equipment to get?

FWIW, I got a C2 first. If I did it over again, I would've gotten the GHD. Running is an easy and free quasi sub for the rower, but there's nothing that can truly sub for GHD movements... particularly its ROM.

I agree with what Danny said. midline stability/ strength is your friend

I recently purchased a GHD, but my deciding factor was it was something I could actually USE while my broken wrist healed.

GHD, no question. you get nothing out of a rower you can't get with other exercises.

Re: Equipment Decision...Rower vs GHD

Get the GHD, then a used Airdyne on craigslist. That combo would still be cheaper then a new C2 and go a lot farther in your strength and conditioning quest.
