Interesting little article. Maybe this is why Athena is so prominent in Crossfit.

makes sense, people that tend to exercise with a partner are more likely to stick with it.

As I work out in my garage with the door open, an assortment of neighbors will go by. One of them, a 65-year old woman, takes her little dog for a walk. Well actually, the dog likes to RUN. So the woman ends up running - not jogging - quite a bit in an effort to catch her dog. No way would she do that on her own.

Another guy walks by playing a game of "Let's drag the dogs/get dragged by the dogs". Big dogs.

Another woman takes her yellow lab with her on a bike ride. The dog likes to sprint, with the dog lead in his teeth, so they're usually exceeding the 15mph posted speed limit.
