Came across this article today.

It is a satire but it is pretty good!

Re: Phys-Ed is useless!

Haha! That's one of the best things I've read in awhile. I especially like the part in the middle where the lady talks about learning useful things like sitting at a computer and ordering stuff.

Another headline that tickled me was "Fat kid successfully avoids ridicule by swimming with shirt on".

"No need for physical exertion". Mainly because he will never meet a girl that will allow him to "physically exert" himself.

Re: Phys-Ed is useless!

"In response to these findings, many Americans have urged the government to stop wasting millions of dollars on useless physical education programs and start focusing on real problems, such as obesity, arthritis, and chronic back pain."

Sweet.

I feel like that is how people actually feel. Isn't there a pill to cure that obesity problem?

Not yet; but there IS motionless exercise:

Re: Phys-Ed is useless!

She might be talking about isometrics. Notice in the video how she 'black-boxes' the people doing the workout... literally. There's not one example of what the training looks like or a sample moment from the film, just clips of stunned beginner training populations (meaning any stimulus will surprise them, 90% of whom look neither fit nor lean). Notice, also, that they don't even bother advertising to men. Hm...

Re: Phys-Ed is useless!

Its got to be isometrics and if I'm correct they really don't do anything for increased strength or cardio.

Re: Phys-Ed is useless!

Mmm, looking at those women, just stopping them from eating for seven minutes a day could generate those results. Why is it that the doctor reminds me of Dr Nick Riviera ("just as good as Dr Hibbert")?
