Coach-

Looks good, could you include a section that deals with one lift? Kinda like a summary section of important things associated with the lift, from a beginner to intermediate skill level.

Interesting. From a reader perspecitve, try to make all the fonts the same size and type. Moving from all caps, to small whatever, to large-bold whatever was irritating to my eyes.

But I am picky that way.

Other than that, very informative, esp. on the last article about staying warmed up, etc.

Coach Burgener,

Glad to see this coming out. Looking forward to more.

As Tim Weaver mentioned above, use the same font, size and color throughout unless there is a specific reason to change. Highlight by using boldface or textboxes. Also, use the same column layout on each page, the first, title, page being the obvious exception. You have four pages and a different layout and/or font scheme on each page.

Who do you have in mind as your reading audience? This issue seems to be targeted at your own trainees (H.S. schedule), competitors, and those familiar with the O-lifting world.

Cordially,

jw

great suggestions. this newsletter will only get better. as i get people to write an article i will put more newsletters out. i am using a program from i works from mac. its called pages. i really do not know how to operate the program to the fullest, but i will learn it. as far as the audience....hopefully everyone that wants to know a bit about oly lifting. crossfitters, competitors, h.s. athletes in various sports....in future editions hopefully we will get a sense of what is needed and desired at all levels. keep those suggestions coming. coach bhttp://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/3499/19176.jpg

I just downloaded, but will read it later. My first suggestion is to name the pdf something like ....

Mike Burgener Newsletter Issue #01.pdf

That way when I download it for later review, I can find it easily. "first edition.pdf" might get overlooked.

I know, it was picky!

Mike, looks great. You have some formatting issues having to do with column/border sizing and typefaces, I'll look it over and send you an e-mail. Being a Mac guy, I also use Pages (sometimes), it is not a bad program at all.

Just read through ... I like the content. Formatting could be cleaned up as mentioned by Clay. Other than that, I'm definitely looking forward to new issues!
