So here I am ready to do "Fran", inspired by the video of Greg and Josh. I know my time won't even come close, but that's ok, I am still new. I begin my first thruster, empy olympic bar, I clean it, squat down, stand up...

and push the damn thing right into my jaw. Ouch!!

i think just about everyone's done that...if i recall correctly, mine was on either a push press or a jerk. it definitely catches your attention. and hearing the collision from the inside of your head is interesting, too.

Been there, more than once, there is a quick learning curve.

Don't feel bad Ryan, a few months ago someone posted on the mainpage that they had knocked out 2 teeth while thrusting overhead.

This month I have:

A- Slammed my jaw on the pullup bar coming down from a muscle-up.

B- Whacked my head on the glute-ham developer doing Jim Baker situps (cheapo GL-station).

C- Rubbed a nickle-sized portion of skin off my Adam's Apple during wallball (looks really attractive).

D- Chipped a tooth snatching.

I can't figure out why they don't want CF in commercial gyms.

-D.

Fortunately only to himself and to the unprepared egos of new crossfitters....

Yes, just last week when I was doing one of CF NYC's new WOD's, named "Scott's Mom", I brought a DB down too fast and hit the top of my head...didn't realize that I had drawn blood and that it was running down my face until the gym bunnies started staring at me like I was gonna draw theirs next(thought it was just more sweat, something else they're not used to)...maybe they sensed my annoyance at how they were interfering with my time.
