Re: Jason's Workout Log

Thanks Robert. Loved the pics of your home gym. I was to take some of mine as well. Which I did and haven't posted them. Hopefully this is them. I am now in my garage full time.

Here you can see all of our equipment. We own two squat stands a York 204 and a York squat/press stand (trying to sell one right now) Got three bars. A Rogue men's and women's bar and a cheap one I bought with a Weider weight set. We have Bowflex Selecttech 552 dumbbells. A 32,24 & 16 kg KB, a flat bench. 45,25,15,10 lb bumper plate sets. I have some elite EXF rings a Sorinex GHD, a Concept 2 model D rower, a homemade wall/slam ball, bands, a flat bench, wrist wraps and a belt, and an "adjustable" box jump I made with some leftover lumber. I think that's it. It's taken a couple years but I think we have just about everything we need for now.

Re: Jason's Workout Log

Thanks, it's been a process over 2.5 years basically. The closest Crossfit gym is 2 hrs away. Really didn't have a choice to build up gym. Investing in my own health isn't a bad thing either. I am lucky to be able to do it too.

Today, feeling much better. Moral of the story, check the expiration date on milk.

part 1:
A1. clean grip DL - 5 TnG reps; rest 20 sec - 255/260/275/275
A2. AMRAP HSPU in 90 sec; rest 3 min x 4 - 15/17/16/11
B. Row sprints - 20 sec @ max effort; rest 1:40 x 5 - focus on leg drive and turnover! - 111/112/113/111/110
C. Toes to bar - 15 x 4; rest 1 min - UB/UB/5,5,5/8,5,2

T2B got ugly on last two sets !

Supposed to run later. Hope to get at it nice day out today and lots of other things to do.

Re: Jason's Workout Log

rest 6+ hours (I helped a guy put in a door and did some more work in the garage, thanks wife)

part 2:
Run 400 m @ 90%
rest walk 2 min x 3 - 1:29,1:24,1:27
(rest 6 min)
Run 400 m @ 90%
rest walk 2 min x 3 - 1:27,1:27,1:27
(same times/set exactly)

These felt great. I think the food thing must have knocked me out more than I thought. Recovery was quick, I was chomping at the bit to go again.

Oh yeah, my shoes are a very bright royal blue. I think Inzer sells a belt that would match perfectly. I would look silly but awesome all at the same time.

Re: Jason's Workout Log

I thought the Inzer belt was to be a B-day present to yourself, you should definitely get it, have a good belt has changed my lifting, big time!!!!!

Dude, I love the home gym too! My wife and I sre thinking about putting one together in our spare room, I am excited about that!

I got some chores done this weekend, too. Got the stairs on my deck done, which will give me some much -needed closure on it.

The traininglooks good too! Multiple sets of UB T2B x 15, I am good for about 4 on a good day!

Sounds like you had a good weekend!

Re: Jason's Workout Log

Love your gym, Jason! Thanks for posting the pics! I pretty much have everything I need in my gym as well. The next thing I'd like to get is a reverse hyper. Not thrilled about spending that much money for it though. lol

Re: Jason's Workout Log

Thanks guys, I am pretty proud of my home gym. It is now sitting where I used to have 1967 Mercury Cougar. Turns out life and priorities change over time. I know I made the right decision. Feeling so much better the last couple days, rest and food a lot better too.

Milt, my forearms were still sore from the T2B.

Robert, I would love a reverse hyper, but they are expensive and I have lots of other things I'd rather have.

Rested yesterday, felt really good to do so.

3 sets:
8 Push Press tough
60 sec airdyne @ 90%
rest 2 min - all done @ 135 w/ 26,26,24 calls on the rower (no Airdyne, and from what I've heard I don't want on it either)
+
3 sets:
8 Front Squat tough
60 sec burpee broad jumps @ 90%
rest 2 min - all done @ 205 w/ about 10 burpees each time could have got more but had to turn 180 degrees each time
+
FLR on rings - 300 sec - 60/42/48/25/25/25/35/40 seconds for 300 total. I was quivering….a lot.

A great training day. I feel awesome about my work today. Which is a good thing.

Re: Jason's Workout Log

Lots of walking today at work, could've used a Segway today.

Part 1 was some running intervals, which I'll make up on Friday morning.

So I did only Part 2 tonight…..

30 Muscle Ups for time:

18:00

Which is a PR for me as I've never done. Thought about maybe 10 sets of 3 but mostly singles and doubles. Still pretty happy as I've never done this many in one day. Glad to see we're still hitting my goats every day on OPT.

Re: Jason's Workout Log

Way to go, Jason! That's a great time. Even more so considering it's the first time you've done 30 consecutive! Wow!
