Question Q: variation on CFSB theme

Hello,
I'm in my first cycle of CFSB and I like it. Doing it made me think.
I also want to better my performance on olympic lifts and gymnastics. What if I made a variation of CFSB but instead of strenght based it is Gym/oly based.
For example:
mo: gymnastics + WOD - floor and rings
tu: Olympic + WOD - (P)cl/j + full snatch
we rest
th: Gymnastic + olympic - floor and rings + (P)snatch + full cl/j
fr: Gymnastic + WOD - floor and rings
sa: Olympic + WOD - full cl/j + full snatch

I know it is turning into a hybrid, but it is just a thought I like to run past you all. If only for the great ideas.

TBH, go for it and see how it works....

I wouldn't put Oly after WODs though. And depending on how much Oly you're doing it may be a bit much.

Re: Q: variation on CFSB theme

Steven,

First I'm going to finish 2 cycles of the CFSB, then I will go for the variation thereof. I agree it needs some more work.

btw, the intention is to do the wod's last.

I've tried Gands Hybrid, but it burned me up, to much work for me. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but still. I will read the thread again, I might have missed something.

Now I am on the 3th week of my first cycle of cfsb and only had to take 1 day extra off and this was because of too little sleep over a longer period.
I hate to admid it, but at my age, 47, I do need a litle more sleep then before.

As said, the only way to know for sure is to play with it. One thing that I can say from experience is that you'll probably have a tough time snatching after cleaning. There is definitely a method to that madness...

Yeah, but he's right about the need for extra sleep. I'm 44 and am finding that I can train just as hard as I did when younger, so long as I get 8 hours of sleep. Below that, things break down quickly.
