Fingal cleans, center point cleans, landmine cleans, etc....
For about the last year I have included what I call "fingal cleans" on my variety days. The name is based on the strongman event "Fingal's Fingers." I really enjoy them and think they are a great way to teach and train triple extension.

Do you do these on a landmine or barbell jammed in the corner of a room and then just clean them from the floor to overhead? Or do you have some other apparatus?
If with just the barbell jammed in the corner/landmine, I'd follow the olympic lifting terminology. If you start from the ground and bring it to full extension while landing in a full squat I'd call it a Fingal or Landmine Snatch. If you don't go into a full squat then I'd modify it to a Landmine PowerSnatch. If you catch at the shoulder you start getting into cleans and then jerk possibilites. Any chance you could make a video? |

With a landmine.
I do them just like you would do fingal's fingers. From the ground to the clean, then push press. I think a snatch would be too difficult/dangerous. |

I'm assuming you don't walk them up but repeat them from reps at the end of the bar?
I guess if you stood in parllel with the barbell you could try snatches?? Not saying you should. Do you feel there are any advantages to the landmine over jamming a bar in the corner? |
