shoulder (in)flexibility and close-grip overhead squats
Will practicing close-grip OHS ('close-grip' here meaning narrower than shoulder width) lead to increased shoulder flexibility or will it merely act at a gauge of it?
If anybody can provide more info on close-grip OHS, please do so. Thanks! |

Why would you want to practice an OHS with a close grip?

Doing OHS caused me to have nerve impingement issues and I wonder if this would help with that.

I feel it would be a heck of a lot safer to use dislocates to work on your shoulder flexibility.

...OH squat with kettlebells is really good for shoulder flexibility... and much safer...

I did close grip ohs for a while bringing my hands closer and closer - now it's to a point that it's easy to squat overhead with hands together with load.
