Knee lockup and pain this morning

Today I woke up and was unable to walk without pain in my left knee. I posted this thread in the digital coaching section. http://www.board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=37220 Even though I was unable to walk without pain I decided to do a few air squats to try and stretch my knee out. I had no pain in my knees while doing so. What is wrong with me? Should I try to squat again.

Exclamation Re: Knee lockup and pain this morning

Was there any sticking or popping? Go to the doc and request a MRI. Im currently awaitng knee surgery (scope) and I have no pain in a correct air squat, but i have a torn miniscus, and the way its torn it flips over on its self and pinchs inside the joint (causing popping and lock up) sometime i can manipulate/shake it loose but def go to the doc.

Re: Knee lockup and pain this morning

Go see an Ortho. Look for a sports med guy. Good luck.
