High-hang sntach and muscle snatch

Hi

I started the "supplemental olympic lifting for crossfiters" program from the last journal. Have 2 questions:

Week 1-4 day 4: high-hang snatches, are these squat sntaches or powersnatches? It would seem likely that they are power since they are combined with overhead squats. But usually when I read snatch I automatically assume it is squat snatch.

Week 5-8 day 5: What is a muscle snatch?

So it should be a squat snatch. Perfect.

Re: High-hang sntach and muscle snatch

Snatch/clean implies a squat receiving position if not accompanied by a qualifier such as power or split. Squat snatch / squat clean is redundant.

Thanks Scott, but I can't take any credit. Snatched it(no pun) off the USWA site when the AO was going on last weekend.

Site is W/F/S:
