Hockey

Sitting here, taking a break from studying, with the Tampa Bay- Boston hockey game on in the background. I used to go to the FireAntz games in NC when i was stationed there and then to the P-cola Ice Pilots, until they got booted
anyway, just thought i'd see if there were any other hockey fans out there?? Just don't ask me all the rules or who the players are...hahahah....

Happy Sunday!

Re: Hockey

In High School I used to play against the FireAntz house team(not sure how they were related, but they wore the same jersey as the pro team). Funny Coincidence. My friends went to the Hurricanes vs. Avalanche game and the Canes kicked *** so that is good for us.

Enjoy the hockey and keep on procrastinating the studying!

Re: Hockey

Procrastination is my middle name, but watch out when the heat is on....I'm unstoppable (or at least I'd like to think so)

Studying easily turned into a 30 min nap! That should be another thread starter. Who takes naps? When? How long do they last? Hmmm....let me get to posting.....

My brother is in the Raleigh area....he's a photographer on staff at the paper. What i miss most about the Fayetteville area is that I was only one hour away from 3 DIFFERENT REI stores. The closest one to me now is 6 hours. BOOOOOOOO

Re: Hockey

Grew up playing hockey in upstate NY and still play in an adult league in Poughkeepsie. IMHO, I don't think there is a sport out there that rivals ice hockey. If I had to watch one thing on television every night ice hockey would be it. Especially if the Bruins are on!

Re: Hockey

I never was a big hockey player. Did a bit of intramurals in Uni, but wasn't ever all that good.

We do have some great hockey music! (just to name a few, and all WFS)

Jughead's "Hockey Song"

Captain Tractor's "Frozen puck to the head"

And last but not least, Stompin Tom's "Hockey Song"

Re: Hockey

Grew up playing hockey in Buffalo , but then quit when I moved to Philadelphia and then I played football in high school. I really miss playing, especially pond hockey. I've been thinking about joininh a rec leauge recently, but have zero time.

I'm still a gigantic Sabres fan and I have some good friends who have been drafted in the NHL and play high level collegiate and juniors and one of them currently plays for the Blackhawks.

Anyone here ever play mini sticks/ knee/ shini hockey?

Re: Hockey

Hell ya, I'm a hockey fan!! In Atlanta, we have the Thrashers, formerly the Knights, and they are decent...haha. Though I love my Thrashers, my favorite teams to watch are the Carolina Hurricanes and Toronto Maple Leafs...give blood play hockey...mmm hmmm. I love a good fight.

Nothing like a hockey game, Molson on tap, and a big hot dog with saurkraut and mustard smothered all over it. mmmmm
