Re: 10 minute meals
So I've been mostly Paleo for about 2 months now, and really love it. But there are two "bad" types of food that I haven't been able to give up, mainly because I cannot understand how they are unhealthy:
Legumes (Lentils and Beans, not so much peanuts. Lentils and Beans are high fiber, zero fat and have a decent amount of protein. They can't be that bad for you, can they? )
Skim Milk (Okay, dairy fat is not good fat, but why the hell is fat-free skim milk a problem? It's cheap, high protein, and tasty).
Any paleo gurus with some insight???
Also, I'm not trying to hijack the thread, here's my 10 minute, or less, meal:
-2 big handfuls of spinach leaves
-1 handful of pre-shredded carrots (available bagged by the bags of salad greens)
-1 handful blackberries
-Some protein (Either pre-cooked chicken/pork, cooked and crumbled bacon (not quite paleo), or blue cheese (not paleo at all, but soooo good in this salad )
-1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
-1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
-About 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Toss, and enjoy. This salad rocks my face.
