General Nutrition

Ok Ive been zoning for a few months now. It got to the point where Im scared of unfavourable carbs and think my bodys going to get obese if I touch rice lol.

I know alot of guys love the zone here but is it really the way to eat?

What do you guys think of the term eat small portions regularily through the day to speed up your metabolism and improve fat loss. I feel that eating zone meals fills me up but isnt actually helping that much with fat loss.
I lost more fat when I was eating 5 small meals a day of rice/potatoes, veg and chicken.

Could I just eat smaller zone portions several times per day?

Re: General Nutrition

According to research I've read, there's nothing to suggest that lots of small meals actually increase your metabolism.

theiflife.com (WFS) has some great articles on this.

I do Intermittent Fasting (IF) and have found that my weight goes down without even trying and that it takes the stress out of eating.

I do not, and never will, zone, however. Paleo and IF for me, but IMHO people need to find a diet that fits their bodies and lifestyles.

Re: General Nutrition

I only zone when I want to drop a few pounds or correct my diet if I've fallen off the ban wagon. Usually after a few months I'll either go pretty relaxed with it or switch to Paleo. When I need to drop more weight I'll probably do Zone/Paleo then go back to Paleo since I hate measuring my foods.

Re: General Nutrition

Just eat what works for you. If it no longer works, just switch it up. Zone , paleo, iF, instinct, whatever.

Food should be a healthy pleasurable experience, not a jail sentence..

Re: General Nutrition

Well I dont think zone is working for me tbh. I think eating rice, veggies and chicken 5 times a day worked alot better if im honest. Ill add more varety nowadays but thats what I found worked best.
