Was supposed to do that online competition for Crossfit Subzero to support the dog shelter but there is now way right now...he sent me the WOD's and it looks pretty good too!
Even I can see you need a rest from that competition Jay, it was a huge amount of work, I see on your log with the ring hspu workout, I have to practice those more also.

Going to look up that subzero WOD now see what your missing out on.

I hope you had a good class Scott.
Cannot believe the weather your getting now Nik , snowed in Texas is crazy and not for the first time this year. I was sure you was going to be poster 10,000 it was all ready for your usual time. You have to aim for 20,000 now but that has got to be a 20k run!!

Re: A Bears Tale

4 February 2011

CF Essex class

Started with some power snatch practice, definately needed it as still by far my weakest lift, just went for 40k for technique.

20 min AMRAP:
10 Lunges 25k plate overhead
10 Pull ups
10 Toes to bar
10 Shoulder press 25k plate - 9 rounds, 9 lunges

Would of got the 10 lunges at the end but the floor was wet with vapour and I almost done the splits and dropped the plate. Ripped my hand also for the first time in a long while, guess the pull ups and T2b took a toll. Good workout and a lot harder after all the t2b yesterday.

Re: A Bears Tale

Looking good on the amrap, That looks like alot of worr per min. and nice snach balance. You doing the 100burpee pullups? I may do it, that is about all I got here at the house, but it is 20degree outside, but after about 10 reps I don't figure I will be to cold.

Go for it Nik, perfect workout for you today trapped in the texas snow. I will be hitting it tomorrow morning. The amrap last night was great and all about those Toes to bar towards the end, the 25k plate stuff was almost a break although my glutes are feeling the lunges today.

Not sure about my 100 DU pr, think its around 1.20, my goal is to get nearer the 1 minute barrier. Standing always for the DB work.

Re: A Bears Tale

6 February 2011

Bench Press
90k x 5
100k x 5
110k x 3
115k x 3

GI Jane

100 Burpee Pull ups c2b for time: 15.54

Strong on the bench, although I doubt I will ever pr on it again seeing as when I was bodybuilding I got 160k.

The burpee pull ups were really hard, massive slog and from 30-60 especially, hand is still ripped and I kept jumping wrong and swinging, just really not smooth so much to improve on that next time around.
