I'm very tired and my quads, adductors, hams and glutes are sore from yesterdays squats. I guess that means i did them right!

Today Puppies version @ 14 minutes:

15 Handstand push-up progressions
20 Assisted pull-ups (sitting indian style -- chin to bar, butt to floor.
25 Kettlebell swings, 9 lb kettlebell
30 Sit-ups -- full roll-ups touch toes to hands on floor over head.
35 Burpees -- only broken set 10,10,8,7 -- knees to floor on push-ups.

I love burpees!

For time:

Walked 18 holes of golf & shot 85 -- 4 hours

Dusted a 5 bedroom house -- 15 minutes

Ahhh....Rest day...i still feel guilty though!

Puppy version -- 15 minutes even -- 3 rounds of:
20 air squats
10 assisted pull-ups (65lb assist for 2 sets, 1 set jumping pull-ups because some wacko lady was taking a nap on the assist machine.)
10 assisted dips (65lb assist for all 3 sets...it was a short nap)
10 Hang power cleans (36 lb barbell)

First time doing a WOD in public. I went to the local YMCA at lunch today. I got a lot of WTF looks.

The first one was when i asked where the weight room was and they kept pointing me at the nautilus machines. I said "No, I need to a barbell" and the nice group of young boys spent 3 full minutes trying to convince me to "try the machines".

The next was when i went down to the weight room and picked up a barbell .... i got a "Do you need help with that miss?" from a nice young college boy. I just answered with a polite "No thanks!"

As i ran up and down the stairs between the assisted pull-up/dip machine and the barbells i got many more WTF looks.

Oddly enough, there was another college age guy at the Y doing cleans, pull-ups and dips. As i was panting I asked him "Hey, are you doing the crossfit WOD?"
He just looked at me like i have 4 heads and said "Whats that?" I just said "never mind" and walked away.

That was much fun! I like all the odd looks i got. And, I think the assist machine may make me work a little harder than the contraption i have at home...not much, but a little harder, especially on the dips.

Todays workout (above) was my first "Nasty Girls" -- next time decrease the assist and increase the number of squats, pu, dips, and cleans -- maybe 15 each?

Oh, and right now ( I promised 2 weeks ago) I'm starting my version of the burpee challenge. I will start with one and add 1 burpee a day untill i reach 100!

And I'm doing it with "manly push-ups"!

Am i a masochist or a sadist? I always get the two confused.

Todays WOD:

Total 14 minutes: 4 rounds of 400 meters with 2 minutes rest between each. Time includes rest.

2 Burpees for the challenge (man push-ups)

I think this was my 1st "as Rx'd". Well, i ran/jogged/walked around the block i live on which is a bit more than 400 but pretty close. I even had a few of the neighbors cheering me on.

Now i can go play golf, drink beer and relax.

Oh...and my whole body hurts again. Is tomorrow a rest day already?

Rest day... 18 holes in a cart ....again very slow ... 4 1/2 hours. Can't focus when its that slow! I suck!

4 burpees (man push-ups) and Ray was watching me and said i didn't go low enough on the last one so i had to do another and got lower.

I really needed the rest. I'm afraid i might need to take a full week off as I'm getting tired more and more easily lately.

On my 2nd glass of wine and realizing that almost every post in my log includes alcohol of some kind. I'm not an alchy! I swear!
