Last morning trip to Imperial of break.

Hero WOD Murph
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air-squats
1 mile run
All while wearing a 22# vest

Previous best was 42:26. Goal was to get under 40:00

Broke the middle portion into 20 rounds of 5-10-15. Only rested once, after round 10 to re-chalk my hands for about 20 seconds.

Finished as Rx'd in 37:26. Absolutely obliterated my old PR. Super stoked.

Last trip to Imperial of break.

Wasn't real productive. Didn't want to do a whole lot, was little sore from Murph.

Spent most of my time tonight coaching two new student-athletes in Ryan's class. Ages 9 and 11. Was fun. Ran them in 2 different WODs.

After that worked up to a 3 rep max on bench.

1x285 w/ 2 forced reps.

Was happy with bench performance, especially after Murph this morning. Karl the powerlifter helped me out.

Did abs to finish.

Will miss the Imperial crew but excited to get back to my routine and prep work in Philly at CFCC. Leaving for airport at 5 am tomorrow.

First trip back to CFCC. Good to be back at 7 am.

Volvo pushes for max distance in 20 seconds.

Great burn in the legs and reminiscent of the old "prowler flu" - gotta love it.

After that was 5 min AMRAP of doubles. Got 59. I am terrible... still.

Erin coached me on snatch. First opportunity to use new Nike oly shoes.

Not sure if I locked all the HSPU out all the way but was happy with it. Did all the deads unbroken and the first set of 21 HSPU unbroken. After that HSPU took a little bit of work - going 7,4,4 - 3,3,3 to finish them out.

Finished with grip work.
32kg KB hold for 1:45

Palming a 10# medicine ball for max time in each hand for a few sets.

I like the grip work - whenever it's weak when it should have been strong that should tell you about your recovery - how much your sleep is helping, etc.

Also, for the record, Tabata Rowing - 8 rds for you should DEFINITELY equal over 1k easily... Hmmmmmmmmmm

Good to have you back, dude. Keep up the work on the Snatch - I'll be snatching with you tomorrow - WOOHOO! Bring your yell!

Lower back hurt a little on presses. Would have liked to have kept my pull up reps higher but I was just physically and mentally fatigued from oly lifting for 2+ hrs I think.

Advanced Class at CFCC

Started off with some skill work.

Max 24" box jumps in 1 min. Lost count. Focused on rebounding off floor.

Ring HSPU. Doubled my previous record and got 2 in a row.

Did some work on some parallettes working on L-sit to back levers with the ultimate goal of being able to ring muscle up into a HSPU.

After that did:
5-4-3-2-1 of
Clean & Jerk (205)
Muscle-ups

Finished in 12:03 - not my best performance. My jerks are pretty ugly and basically turned into a strict press. 205 was pretty heavy - never missed one but made sure I had enough rest. Also missed a couple of muscle ups which made me mad. Shouldn't be missing any of those.

Last thing Tim and I did was:
Karen
150 20# 10' wall ball shots

Finished in 7:23

Legs felt nice after that.
